ENG vs IND: Rishabh Pant Leapfrogs VVS Laxman And Gautam Gambhir In The List Of Most Runs By Indian Batters Against England

India keeper-batter Rishabh Pant has moved up the list of the most runs by an Indian against England in Test cricket thanks to his amazing knocks of 146 and 57 in the ongoing fifth Test match, leaving behind legends like VVS Laxman and Gautam Gambhir.

The left-handed batsman had scored a brilliant century in the first innings and there seemingly was no stopping him in the 2nd innings. He bided away his time initially but then took the attack to England bowlers as he had done in the first innings.

With India struggling a bit in the 2nd innings, Rishabh took the onus and added 78 runs for the 4th wicket with Cheteshwar Pujara. While Pujara departed for 66, Rishabh hit 8 fours in his knock of 57 in 86 balls and got out trying to dominate the England spinner Jack Leach, attempting a reverse sweep off the left-arm spinner and was caught in slips.
