Beating retreat ceremony today: When and where to watch live

The Republic Day week will culminate today with the ceremonial ‘Beating Retreat’ at Vijay Chowk in New Delhi. The Beating Retreat ceremony is held on January 29 every year to mark the conclusion of the Republic Day celebrations.

Earlier, only the Indian Army, the Navy, and the Air Force, were part of the Beating Retreat ceremony but since 2016 marching bands from other police forces have also been invited to perform at the ceremony.

The arrival of dignitaries is scheduled for 5:00 to 5:15 pm. The main ceremony will begin at 5:15 and will last for an hour till 6:15 pm. The drone show will last for 10 minutes. The event ends with the national anthem at 6.30 pm.
