Toyota Kirloskar Motor records 41% growth in FY 23 sales at 1,74,015 units – ET Auto
New Delhi: Toyota Kirloskar Motor sold 1,74,015 units in FY23 compared to 1,23,770 units in the last financial year, marking 41% growth.
The company saw a year over year (Y-O-Y) growth of 9%, as it sold 18,670 units in March 2023, compared to 17,131 units in the corresponding month last year.
In the last quarter of the current fiscal year, the company sold 46,843 units compared to 33,204 units in the same quarter last year, posting a 41% growth.
The company witnessed good performance of its products across all segments, with major contributions coming from strong consumer demand for the recently-introduced Innova Hycross, Urban Cruiser Hyryder, New Innova Crysta and Hilux.
“We are extremely pleased to close this fiscal year on a positive note. We are expecting consistent momentum and growth in the fiscal year 2024-25. The passenger vehicles segment witnessed a steady growth last year, and we were prepared to ride the wave to meet the varied mobility needs. Our new product launches, introduction of new greener and advanced technology options, enabled us to sustain the momentum,” Atul Sood, Vice President, Sales and Strategic Marketing, said.
“We are grateful to our customers for their growing interest in all our product offerings. All variants of recently launched Innova Hycross and Urban Cruiser Hyryder are gaining popularity and continuing to witness huge acceptance from the market. The recently introduced globally acclaimed Hilux has attracted an excellent customer response. We have started taking bookings for the new Innova Crysta Diesel. Fortuner and Legender remain undisputed, while other products such as Camry Hybrid, Vellfire and Glanza have also sustained a positive momentum,” he added.
